Davide Frattesi‘s future is approaching a crucial turning point. The Italian midfielder is expected to leave Inter this summer after another frustrating season in which his playing time decreased even further and, remarkably, he failed to score a single goal.
That statistic is particularly surprising for a player who has built his reputation on making decisive runs into the box and contributing in the final third.
According to SportMediaset, Frattesi remains highly regarded by Luciano Spalletti, who has always trusted the 25-year-old and consistently put him in the best conditions to perform for the Italian national team.
Under Spalletti, Frattesi became one of the Azzurri’s most productive midfielders, regularly delivering goals and strong performances.

Nottingham Forest Ready to Move
A reunion between Spalletti and Frattesi could now become a reality. The Italian coach had already identified the midfielder as a potential target back in January, but with Giovanni Carnevali now working at Juventus, the possibility of a move to Turin has gained further momentum.
Carnevali was one of the first executives to believe in Frattesi’s talent, signing him from Roma’s academy when he was just 17 years old.
However, Juventus will face competition from Nottingham Forest, who are reportedly pushing hard to secure the midfielder’s signature.
Inter are demanding around €30 million for Frattesi, significantly more than the fee Sassuolo paid to acquire him in 2018. The Premier League side sees him as a potential replacement for Elliot Anderson, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
Juventus Remain Frattesi’s Preferred Destination
Despite Nottingham Forest’s strong interest, Frattesi’s preference is clear: Juventus. Before giving the green light to a move abroad, the midfielder is willing to wait for the Bianconeri to make a concrete move.
Juventus are exploring ways to lower the cash portion of a potential deal by including player exchanges. Andrea Cambiaso and Federico Gatti are among the names reportedly being considered as possible counterparts in negotiations with Inter.
The excellent relationship between Carnevali and Inter president Beppe Marotta could help facilitate talks, although the Nerazzurri would prefer a straight cash deal.
Inter’s summer transfer strategy largely depends on the funds generated through player sales, making Frattesi’s departure an important piece of their plans.

One factor could prove decisive: the player’s own wishes. Frattesi is eager to become a key figure again under Spalletti, and his determination to join Juventus may carry significant weight as negotiations develop in the coming weeks.
