Juventus ready to strike for Greenwood

Juventus are once again keeping a close eye on Mason Greenwood’s situation as uncertainty continues to surround the forward’s future.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the Bianconeri are monitoring developments closely and could enter the race if the right opportunity presents itself.

Greenwood is coming off an outstanding campaign with Marseille, where he registered 26 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

Those impressive numbers have made the 24-year-old one of the most sought-after attacking players on the market this summer, attracting interest from several major European clubs.

Roma Still Leading, But Marseille’s Demands Remain an Obstacle

Roma have identified Greenwood as one of Gian Piero Gasperini’s top attacking targets ahead of the new season. The Giallorossi have reportedly already reached a verbal agreement with the player, demonstrating their determination to bring him to the Italian capital.

However, negotiations with Marseille have yet to produce a breakthrough. The French club continue to demand around €50 million plus bonuses, a valuation that has slowed talks despite Roma’s strong interest.

The Serie A side are still expected to submit an offer worth more than €50 million in total in an attempt to satisfy Marseille’s demands and secure Gasperini’s preferred signing.

Juventus Ready to Act if the Opportunity Arises

While Roma remain in pole position, Juventus have not taken their eyes off Greenwood. As reported by Ekrem Konur, the Turin giants have admired the former Manchester United forward since last year and are carefully assessing the situation.

Should negotiations between Roma and Marseille stall further, Juventus could be ready to make their move. Konur also provided an update on Fenerbahçe’s interest.

The Turkish club had previously reached a financial agreement worth €12 million per season with Greenwood’s representatives, but that deal was closely linked to presidential candidate Hakim Safi, who was defeated in the club’s elections.

Although newly elected president Aziz Yildirim still appreciates Greenwood’s qualities, he is reportedly unwilling to match the salary package that had been negotiated under the previous proposal.

With Fenerbahçe’s position uncertain and Marseille holding firm on their asking price, the race for Greenwood remains open, leaving Juventus alert for any opportunity that could emerge in the coming weeks.
