Suzuki close to join Juventus

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly changed the structure of their proposal for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, with the French champions now ready to offer €35 million for the Japan international before immediately sending him on loan to Juventus.

According to multiple reports, including L’Équipe, Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano and Sportitalia, PSG are increasingly confident of completing the signing of Suzuki.

However, the goalkeeper is not expected to remain in Paris for the upcoming season, with a loan move to Juventus emerging as the preferred solution.

The strategy would allow PSG to secure one of Europe’s most highly regarded young goalkeepers as a long-term investment, while giving Suzuki another season of regular football in Serie A.

PSG Ready to Invest, Juventus Set for Suzuki Loan

PSG’s situation in goal is a key factor behind the proposed deal. Lucas Chevalier only arrived last summer as the club’s replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma, meaning there is little reason to immediately place Suzuki ahead of him.

A temporary move would therefore make sense for all parties. Suzuki could continue his development with regular first-team football, PSG would retain control of a promising goalkeeper for the future, and Juventus would finally get the reinforcement they have been looking for.

The Bianconeri had already identified Suzuki as one of their preferred options between the posts, but the €35m asking price was considered too high for their current financial situation. A PSG purchase followed by a loan to Turin could now provide Juventus with a way around that obstacle.

Negotiations between PSG and Parma have been ongoing for some time, but it appears that the main change concerns the structure of the €35m package rather than the overall valuation.

PSG’s initial proposal was reportedly worth around €28m plus bonuses. The latest formula would instead involve a greater portion of the €35m being guaranteed immediately, with a smaller percentage linked to performance-related variables.

Suzuki Could Stay in Serie A

If the agreement is completed, Suzuki would remain in Italy despite changing clubs, moving from Parma to Juventus while officially becoming a PSG player.

For Juventus, the deal would solve an important problem in goal without requiring the club to make a €35m investment of its own. For PSG, meanwhile, it would represent a long-term investment in a goalkeeper they believe can become an important part of their future.

The proposed operation could therefore benefit all three parties: Parma would receive a significant fee, PSG would secure Suzuki’s future, and Juventus would obtain the goalkeeper they wanted on loan.

For now, negotiations are continuing, but the latest developments suggest that PSG’s willingness to change the financial structure of the offer could be the key to unlocking the entire operation.
