In the blink of an eye, Edon Zhegrova may have changed the course of his Juventus future.
Fittingly for a player known for his explosive pace and quick feet, the Kosovo international produced a moment of brilliance against Chelsea that could prove to be a turning point after a difficult first season in Turin.
Zhegrova’s debut campaign in the black and white shirt was far from straightforward. There were flashes of the talent that had convinced Juventus to invest in him, with occasional bursts of skill capable of exciting the supporters.

However, those moments were not matched by enough end product, and he ultimately finished his first season in Italy without scoring.
Worse still, the goal that arguably had the biggest impact on Zhegrova’s Juventus experience was the one he scored in the wrong net during the playoff against Galatasaray.
That costly mistake became a heavy burden for the Kosovo winger, one that followed him for much of the remainder of the season.
Now, however, a spectacular goal against Chelsea could offer Zhegrova a completely different kind of crossroads — and this time, a positive one reports Sportmediaset.
Spalletti Has Always Been Impressed by Zhegrova
Luciano Spalletti has never hidden his admiration for Zhegrova’s natural qualities. The Juventus coach was immediately struck by the winger’s explosive acceleration and ability to operate in tight spaces.

“He impressed me with his speed because he is truly a lightning bolt in tight spaces,” Spalletti previously said.
That description perfectly captures the qualities Zhegrova can bring to Juventus. He possesses the ability to accelerate past opponents, create something from nothing and produce technical moments that few players can replicate.
Spalletti also highlighted another particular aspect of his game, jokingly referring to one of Zhegrova’s trademark pieces of skill as the “zeppetta” — a delicate scoop over an opponent that demonstrates his exceptional touch and technical ability.
“He has this sensitivity when touching the ball, to make that little ‘zeppettina’…,” Spalletti explained, describing it as the ability to lift the ball over an opponent with remarkable precision.
Those qualities have never been in question. What has held Zhegrova back has been his physical condition.

The Kosovo international was repeatedly troubled by pubalgia throughout last season, something he himself acknowledged as a major issue. That physical problem prevented him from finding the consistency required to make a genuine impact at Juventus.
The Chelsea match, however, offered a glimpse of what could happen if Zhegrova is finally able to put those problems behind him. His goal was not only spectacular but also highlighted a more decisive side of his game.
His technical understanding and explosive combination with Kenan Yildiz provided Juventus with an attacking threat that looked considerably more dangerous than before.
If Zhegrova has genuinely overcome the physical difficulties that limited his first season, Juventus could suddenly have an important new weapon at Spalletti’s disposal.
The lightning bolt that once produced only occasional flashes may finally be ready to provide the spark Juventus need.
