Juventus decide about Bremer, Gatti and Cambiaso’ future

Juventus are continuing to reshape their defensive options, with versatility becoming one of the key principles behind their squad planning.

According to La Repubblica, the arrival of Zeki Celik has further strengthened a group of defenders capable of operating in multiple positions and systems.

Celik’s move to Turin is particularly notable because Juventus managed to secure the Turkish international from Roma at a time when his renewal with the Giallorossi appeared increasingly likely.

His arrival gives the Bianconeri another player who can adapt depending on the tactical demands of the game.

Celik Adds More Flexibility to Juventus’ Defence

The former Roma defender joins Pierre Kalulu and Lloyd Kelly among Juventus’ increasingly important group of so-called “hybrid” defenders.

All three can play as central defenders or operate out wide, while also adapting to either a four-man defensive line or a back three.

That flexibility could prove extremely valuable for Luciano Spalletti, who will have the ability to change the team’s structure without necessarily having to make personnel changes.

In modern football, players capable of covering different roles are increasingly sought after, particularly by coaches who want tactical flexibility during matches.

Another significant development concerns Gleison Bremer. The Brazilian centre-back’s future had appeared less certain after the end of last season, with speculation surrounding a possible departure.

However, his performances during pre-season have reportedly changed the situation. Bremer has impressed the coaching staff and strengthened his position within the project, suggesting that Juventus currently see him as an important part of their defensive plans.

Lucumí Remains a Target as Gatti’s Future Is Uncertain

Despite the growing depth at the back, Juventus have not completely closed the door on further reinforcements. Jhon Lucumí remains an attractive target and is reportedly considered by Spalletti as an ideal option for the left side of a three-man defence.

At the same time, Federico Gatti’s position appears less secure. The Italian defender is reportedly no longer among the club’s highest priorities, leaving his future open as the summer window progresses.

Andrea Cambiaso could also become a key name in the club’s plans to raise funds. Should Juventus decide that another sale is necessary, the versatile Italian could emerge as one of the leading candidates for departure.
