The name of Kerim Alajbegović is becoming one of the hottest topics of the summer transfer window. The young Bayer Leverkusen talent is attracting growing interest from several European clubs, with Juventus and Napoli closely monitoring the situation.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who discussed the latest developments on his YouTube channel, the future of the 18-year-old winger remains uncertain, with multiple clubs keeping contact alive.

Romano explained that Atalanta are currently facing difficulties despite having already made an offer to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Italian club tried to accelerate negotiations, but a final agreement has not yet been reached and there are no guarantees that the deal will be completed.

“Kerim Alajbegović is an interesting situation to follow. Atalanta, despite making an offer to Bayer Leverkusen, have not closed the deal yet and are facing some difficulties. There is still a long way to go,” Romano reported.

Chelsea Enter the Race, Juventus and Napoli Keep Monitoring

The situation became even more complicated after Chelsea entered the race, following a specific request from manager Xabi Alonso. The Spanish coach knows Alajbegović well from his time at Bayer Leverkusen and appreciates his potential.

However, Romano revealed that Chelsea would view the Bosnian talent as a long-term investment rather than an immediate first-team option.

The Premier League club could consider signing him and then sending him out on loan to continue his development.

Meanwhile, Juventus and Napoli have increased their efforts in recent days. Both clubs have made new contacts with the player’s representatives to gather information and understand whether there is room to make a move.

At the moment, talks remain at an exploratory stage, but the interest is concrete. Juventus, in particular, are carefully following Alajbegović as they continue their strategy of investing in young talents with high potential.

The situation is therefore developing along three clear paths: Atalanta are trying to complete the operation but are not guaranteed success, Chelsea could disrupt the market with a future-oriented project, while Juventus and Napoli remain alert and ready to act if the opportunity opens.

As Fabrizio Romano highlighted, Alajbegović is a name to watch closely in the coming weeks, with his future still completely open.
