Juventus are exploring options to strengthen the left side of their defence, and a familiar name from the Premier League has reportedly entered their radar.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Bianconeri are considering Kostas Tsimikas as a potential deputy for Andrea Cambiaso.

The Greek international, born in 1996, currently plays for Liverpool and could represent an attractive opportunity for Juventus given his contract situation.

Tsimikas emerges as an affordable option

The report claims that Tsimikas is particularly appreciated by Frederic Massara, who could look to take advantage of the player’s uncertain situation at Liverpool.

The 30-year-old is reportedly no longer considered an essential part of the Reds’ plans, potentially opening the door for a relatively inexpensive transfer.

Tsimikas is familiar with Italian football, having previously spent time in Serie A with Roma. That experience could make his adaptation to Juventus easier should a move eventually materialise.

His current estimated market value is around €4.5 million, but Juventus could potentially sign him for an even lower figure.

His contract with Liverpool is due to expire next June, a factor that could significantly strengthen the Bianconeri’s negotiating position.

For Juventus, the appeal would go beyond the transfer fee. The club are looking for reliable depth on the left flank, and Tsimikas could provide competition and cover without requiring a major financial investment.

His experience at a club of Liverpool’s level, combined with his knowledge of Serie A, makes him an interesting profile for the Turin side. The Greek defender could also offer Spalletti another experienced option should Cambiaso need to rest or miss games.

The situation is expected to develop over the coming days, with Juventus potentially ready to assess whether favourable conditions can be found with Liverpool.

Corriere dello Sport is the source of the report, with Tsimikas now emerging as one of the names to watch as Juventus continue working on their squad depth.
