Juventus continue to focus on strengthening two key positions in the transfer market despite the arrivals of Jeff Ekhator and Zeki Celik.

According to Calciomercato, the Bianconeri’s top priorities remain signing a new goalkeeper and a central striker.

While negotiations for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani are ongoing, Juventus are also preparing to intensify talks with Aston Villa over Argentina international Emiliano “Dibu” Martinez.

The goalkeeper has already expressed his willingness to move to Serie A, and the player has reportedly reached a verbal agreement in principle over personal terms. However, the two clubs have yet to agree on a transfer fee.

Juventus and Aston Villa Yet to Find Common Ground

After Argentina’s disappointment in the FIFA Club World Cup final defeat to Spain, Martinez is now expected to focus entirely on resolving his club future.

The coming days could prove decisive, with fresh discussions between Juventus and Aston Villa scheduled as both sides attempt to bridge the gap in negotiations.

Aston Villa are reportedly demanding between €10 million and €15 million for the 33-year-old goalkeeper, significantly more than the €6–7 million Juventus initially hoped to invest.

Although negotiations remain ongoing, both clubs are still searching for a compromise that could unlock the deal.

Personal Terms Already in Place

Martinez has already given his approval for the move, and if Juventus and Aston Villa reach a full agreement, only minor contractual details will remain.

According to Calciomercato, the Argentine has verbally accepted a three-year contract running until June 2029, with a salary worth around €5 million net per season.

Given Martinez’s age—he will turn 34 in September—Juventus are determined not to overpay for his transfer despite valuing his experience and quality.

For now, Aston Villa remain firm on their valuation, but the next few days could be decisive in breaking the deadlock and determining whether the World Cup-winning goalkeeper will make the switch to Turin.
