Juventus and Parma consider a Swap Deal

Juventus may already be forced to adjust part of their transfer strategy after new signing Jeff Ekhator suffered an injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for around three weeks.

According to Sportmediaset, the setback could accelerate discussions with Parma over a potential loan swap involving the highly-rated young forward and striker Mateo Pellegrino.

Ekhator, born in 2006, became Juventus’ first signing of the summer, but his temporary absence comes at an unfortunate moment.

Missing the opening weeks of pre-season could slow his adaptation to Luciano Spalletti’s tactical system and delay his integration ahead of the club’s first competitive fixtures.

Parma Loan Could Benefit Both Clubs

As reported by Sportmediaset, Juventus and Parma are evaluating a deal that could satisfy the ambitions of both sides.

The proposal would see Ekhator move to Parma on loan once he has fully recovered from his injury, allowing the youngster to gain valuable Serie A experience in an environment where he could enjoy regular playing time.

Juventus would retain control over the player’s future through a buy-back option.

In return, Mateo Pellegrino could make the switch to Turin on loan, with Juventus securing an option to buy the striker for a fee believed to be in the region of €30 million.

Such an arrangement would give the Bianconeri an immediate attacking reinforcement while postponing a final decision on a permanent transfer until the end of the season.

Negotiations Continue Behind the Scenes

Although no agreement has been reached, contacts between Juventus and Parma are expected to intensify in the coming days.

Club officials are currently discussing the financial details and contractual structure needed to make the operation work.

For Juventus, the move would represent a practical response to Ekhator’s temporary absence while also strengthening their attacking department for the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Parma would receive one of Italy’s brightest young prospects, giving the talented forward the opportunity to continue his development with consistent first-team football before eventually returning to Turin.

Whether the negotiations develop into a concrete agreement remains to be seen, but Sportmediaset reports that talks are underway and the possibility of a loan swap is gaining momentum.
