French left-back has been offered to Juventus

Theo Hernandez could be on his way back to Serie A just one year after leaving AC Milan for Saudi Arabia.

According to Tuttosport, the French international has been offered to both Juventus and Napoli as he looks to return to European football following a lucrative spell with Al-Hilal.

The left-back, who joined Al-Hilal after the end of his Milan adventure, is reportedly eager to compete at the highest level again despite still being under contract with the Saudi club until June 2028.

Juventus Monitoring Theo Hernandez Situation as Cambiaso’s Future Remains Uncertain

Theo Hernandez’s departure from Milan was driven by more than just football.

He had built a strong bond with the club’s former management, particularly Paolo Maldini, who personally convinced him to join the Rossoneri in 2019, and sporting director Ricky Massara, another key figure in his development.

After Milan’s leadership changed, Hernandez decided it was the right time for a fresh start. The move to Saudi Arabia brought him an extraordinary financial package worth around €20 million per season, but after just one year, the 28-year-old is already eager to return to the elite stage of European football.

His performances with the French national team have shown that he still possesses the quality, athleticism, and attacking threat that made him one of Europe’s best left-backs.

According to Tuttosport, Hernandez’s agent, Manuel García Quilón, has recently offered the player to both Juventus and Napoli, making it clear that the defender is willing to consider a return to Serie A under the right conditions.

Al-Hilal are reportedly open to letting him leave, even on loan, as they no longer consider him an essential part of their plans.

Juventus admire the French defender, with sporting director Ricky Massara and head coach Luciano Spalletti both appreciating his qualities. However, any potential move appears to depend heavily on the future of Andrea Cambiaso.

The Bianconeri are not actively looking to replace the Italian international, but they remain open to selling him if a significant offer arrives.

So far, clubs including Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter, and Como have only made preliminary enquiries, leaving Cambiaso’s future unresolved.

Speaking recently, the Italian full-back dismissed speculation, insisting he expects to stay in Turin despite constant transfer rumours.

Financially, Hernandez’s return would require major compromises. Juventus have established a strict wage structure and are unwilling to exceed the €7 million annual salary currently earned by Kenan Yildiz.

Club executives Giovanni Carnevali and Ricky Massara have no intention of breaking that limit, even for a player with Hernandez’s pedigree.

Quilón has also discussed the player with Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna, but the response has been cautious, mirroring Juventus’ stance.

While a move back to Europe remains one of Hernandez’s biggest ambitions, Premier League clubs are currently viewed as more realistic destinations due to the financial demands involved.

Despite earning a fortune in Saudi Arabia, Theo Hernandez appears determined to return to the biggest stages of European football.
