Di Gregorio on SWAP DEAL to Marseille

Forza Juventus

Luciano Spalletti’s pre-season rotation has once again raised questions over the future of Michele Di Gregorio, with the Juventus goalkeeper increasingly looking like one of the players who could leave the club before the transfer window closes.

According to Calciomercato, Di Gregorio remains on the outgoing list at Juventus, with the club already accelerating its search for a new goalkeeper.

Several profiles are reportedly being assessed by the Bianconeri, and this week could prove decisive in determining who will eventually replace the former Monza goalkeeper between the posts.

Di Gregorio’s situation is particularly interesting because there is already concrete interest from France.

Marseille are looking for a new goalkeeper with their expected separation from Geronimo Rulli approaching, and the Juventus shot-stopper has emerged as one of the names on their shortlist.

The Italian goalkeeper is currently valued at around €15 million, a figure that could potentially open the door to an unexpected exchange between the two clubs.

Di Gregorio-Hojbjerg Swap Could Enter Juventus’ Plans

Interestingly, the €15m valuation of Di Gregorio is almost identical to the price Marseille have placed on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The experienced Danish midfielder has reportedly requested a transfer and could be available if the right proposal arrives.

Hojbjerg has already attracted attention in Serie A, with AC Milan and Atalanta having made enquiries about his situation. However, the midfielder recently turned down an approach from Newcastle United, leaving his future increasingly uncertain.

This could potentially create an opportunity for Juventus. If the Bianconeri decide to part ways with Di Gregorio, a swap deal involving Hojbjerg could become an attractive solution for all parties.

Juventus have actually followed Hojbjerg in the past. The 31-year-old Copenhagen-born midfielder remains under contract with Marseille until 2028, meaning the French club would normally have little reason to accept a low-value proposal.

However, if Di Gregorio is genuinely valued at €15m and Marseille need a goalkeeper, the two situations could perfectly complement each other.

A direct exchange could also allow Juventus to strengthen midfield without committing a significant transfer fee at a time when the club is carefully managing its spending.

For Spalletti, Hojbjerg’s experience, physical presence and tactical discipline could provide an additional option in midfield. Meanwhile, Juventus would need to find the right goalkeeper quickly if Di Gregorio’s departure becomes official.

With several goalkeeping options already being considered, the coming days could therefore be crucial.

As Calciomercato reports, the possibility of a Di Gregorio-Hojbjerg operation is one to watch closely as Juventus continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new season.
