Lucas Bergvall has once again emerged in the transfer market, with Juventus among the clubs linked with the talented Tottenham midfielder.

However, the Bianconeri are not currently convinced by the financial conditions surrounding a possible deal. According to TuttoJuve, Bergvall has been proposed to Barcelona, although the Catalan club does not appear ready to seriously explore the opportunity at this stage.

The Swedish midfielder had already been on Barcelona’s radar two summers ago, before choosing Tottenham as the next step in his career.

Now, however, his situation could potentially change. Bergvall may be open to considering a new experience, but Tottenham are under no pressure to sell.

The London club consider the 2006-born midfielder an important long-term asset, meaning any interested club would have to make a major financial effort.

Juventus Consider Bergvall Too Expensive

This is where Juventus’ interest becomes particularly complicated. The Bianconeri have reportedly been linked with Bergvall because of his age, technical ability and enormous potential for development.

His profile fits the type of young midfielder who could become an important player for the future. However, Tottenham’s valuation is a major problem.

A fee of around €70 million could reportedly be required to convince Spurs to negotiate Bergvall’s departure. For Juventus, that figure is considered excessive, especially with the club already managing several priorities in the transfer market.

The Bianconeri also have a relatively crowded midfield, making it difficult to justify such a significant investment in another player for the position.

Juventus therefore appear unlikely to make a serious move unless Tottenham substantially changes their demands.

Barcelona face a similar situation. While Bergvall remains an attractive talent, the Spanish club currently considers other areas of the squad more urgent.

For Juventus, the midfielder remains a player worth monitoring, but the current circumstances make a transfer extremely difficult. His qualities are not in question; rather, it is Tottenham’s €70 million valuation that appears to have closed the door for now.

With Juventus continuing to assess their midfield options, Bergvall could remain on the club’s radar, but a major change in Tottenham’s asking price would likely be required before the Bianconeri could seriously consider making an approach.
