2 clubs pushing to sign Jonathan David

Forza Juventus

Jonathan David, who became a free agent after his spell at Lille ended last summer, chose to embark on a new chapter with Juventus, convinced by the club’s long-term vision and ambitious project.

However, what initially appeared to be a promising move has quickly turned into a disappointing experience. According to TuttoJuve, the Bianconeri are already considering parting ways with the Canadian forward, as interest from France begins to intensify.

David arrived in Turin following an outstanding season at Lille, where he recorded an impressive 25 goals and 12 assists, establishing himself as one of the most prolific attackers in Europe.

Expectations were naturally high, both from the club and the supporters. Yet, his time in Italy has not lived up to that promise.

With just 7 goals and 5 assists in 40 appearances, his impact has fallen well short of what Juventus had hoped for, raising serious questions about his future at the club.

French Giants Ready to Make Their Move

Clubs from Ligue 1 are closely monitoring David’s situation, with Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais emerging as the most concrete suitors.

Both sides are reportedly prepared to offer him a central role in their attacking setup, something that could appeal to the striker as he looks to rediscover his best form.

A return to France, where he previously thrived, might represent the ideal environment for a fresh start. Despite this growing interest, any potential transfer will depend heavily on Juventus’ season outcome.

The club may only seriously consider selling David if they fail to secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League, as reducing the wage bill would then become a priority.

Premier League Clubs Also Monitoring

The situation has also attracted attention from the Premier League, with clubs such as West Ham United and Nottingham Forest keeping a close eye on developments.

Juventus are believed to value David between €25 million and €30 million, setting a clear benchmark for any interested party.

As the summer transfer window approaches, David’s future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: his next move could be decisive in reigniting a career that once promised so much.
