Juventus prepare loan move for Arsenal winger

Noni Madueke could emerge as one of the most intriguing names on the market during the upcoming January transfer window, with Juventus reportedly keeping a close eye on the English winger’s situation at Arsenal.

According to TuttoJuve, the Bianconeri are monitoring Madueke after the 24-year-old slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates during the opening weeks of the new season.

Juventus are not alone in their interest, however, with Atlético Madrid also believed to be following developments.

Madueke’s Arsenal Situation

Both clubs could consider making a move in January if Madueke’s playing time remains limited. At this stage, however, no official negotiations have been opened.

The most realistic scenario could be a loan deal with an option to make the transfer permanent. Madueke joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer of 2025 and enjoyed a largely positive first campaign.

He made 43 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing three assists, establishing himself as a useful option in the club’s attacking rotations.

His situation has changed at the start of the current campaign. Madueke has made just two Premier League appearances, both from the bench, while Mikel Arteta’s side have made a perfect start with four victories from their opening four league matches.

With fierce competition for places across Arsenal’s wide attacking positions, the England international could find himself spending several months on the sidelines. At 24, regular playing time is increasingly important, potentially making a temporary move an attractive solution.

Why Juventus Are Interested

Madueke is a left-footed winger who generally operates from the right. He is particularly comfortable receiving the ball wide, taking on defenders one-on-one and cutting inside to shoot or create opportunities for teammates.

Those qualities could fit well with Luciano Spalletti’s tactical approach, which places significant importance on wide attackers creating numerical advantages and constantly challenging opposing defensive lines.

His ability in one-on-one situations is believed to be one of the characteristics that particularly appeals to Juventus. A move would increase competition in a Juventus attack that already includes Francisco Conceição and Edon Zhegrova.

Zhegrova recently scored twice against Sassuolo but was left out of the club’s UEFA squad, while Conceição has shown flashes of danger but has also struggled for consistency.

Madueke could therefore provide an immediate option in Serie A while potentially becoming a longer-term investment if Juventus can secure a purchase option. Arsenal, however, are under no pressure to sell. The winger’s contract runs until June 2030, giving the Gunners a strong negotiating position.

A permanent January transfer therefore appears unlikely, while a loan could allow Madueke to play regularly without Arsenal immediately giving up control of his future.

Juventus would reportedly prefer a loan with an option to buy, giving them several months to assess the player before making a final decision.

Arsenal could instead demand financial guarantees or include conditions that would turn the purchase option into an obligation if certain targets are reached.

The main competition for Juventus could come from Atlético Madrid, who reportedly see Madueke as a player capable of adding pace, unpredictability and greater attacking threat to their forward line.
