Gundogan Shock: Juventus Enter the Race 

Ilkay Gundogan’s time at Galatasaray could be coming to an end sooner than expected. The experienced German midfielder arrived in Istanbul with significant expectations, but he has recently slipped down the pecking order in the Turkish club’s midfield.

According to TuttoJuve, Galatasaray could now consider parting ways with the former Manchester City and Barcelona star in an effort to reduce the club’s wage bill.

Gundogan Has Several Options

One of the most likely destinations could be Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Pro League continues to attract high-profile international players with lucrative financial offers, and Gundogan could be tempted by the opportunity to join the growing competition.

A move to the United States is another possibility. Major League Soccer could offer the 35-year-old a completely new professional and personal experience, making it an intriguing alternative if he decides to leave Turkey.

However, a return to Serie A should not be ruled out. Gundogan’s wife, Sara Arfaoui, is from Veneto, a factor that could make a move to Italy particularly appealing for the midfielder and his family.

Juventus Still an Outside Possibility

Among the Italian clubs previously linked with Gundogan is Juventus. The German’s technical qualities, leadership and vast international experience could certainly address some of the Bianconeri’s needs in midfield, particularly in terms of quality, personality and game management.

Nevertheless, a move to Turin currently appears difficult to materialize. Gundogan’s age does not perfectly fit Juventus’ strategy, which is increasingly focused on building around players who can contribute over the medium and long term.

His salary, however, would not necessarily be a major obstacle. Gundogan is currently believed to earn around €5 million per season, a figure that could potentially fit within Juventus’ financial parameters.

For now, Saudi Arabia and MLS appear to be more realistic options, but if Juventus were to enter the race, Gundogan’s experience could make the situation worth monitoring closely.
