Atalanta seriously on Zhegrova

Edon Zhegrova has finally given Juventus a glimpse of his true quality, scoring twice in the 3-2 defeat to Sassuolo. His brace allowed the Bianconeri to fight back on two separate occasions, and his contribution arguably deserved a better result at the Mapei Stadium.

However, according to TuttoJuve, that performance may still not be enough to guarantee the Kosovo international a long-term future in Turin. Zhegrova’s name continues to circulate ahead of the January transfer window, with Atalanta now also reportedly monitoring his situation.

Atalanta Enter the Picture

The Bergamo club are believed to be considering a potential loan deal with an option to buy, although the situation remains at a very early stage. There have been no official contacts between the clubs and no offer has been submitted to Juventus at this point.

Much will depend on the respective situations of both teams when the January window opens. For now, Zhegrova remains a Juventus player, but his future could become one of the stories to watch during the winter market.

The 27-year-old made an immediate impact against Sassuolo after coming on in the second half for Francisco Conceição.

His introduction completely changed the dynamic of Juventus’ attack, adding pace, dribbling ability and, most importantly, the clinical touch that had been missing from the other attacking players.
