Juventus return to Serie A action on Sunday as they travel to Reggio Emilia to face Sassuolo on Matchday 4. The Bianconeri have made an unbeaten start to the campaign, collecting two wins and one draw from their opening three matches.
Juventus Dominant in Serie A Meetings
Sunday’s fixture will be the 25th Serie A meeting between Sassuolo and Juventus. The Bianconeri have dominated the head-to-head record, winning 16 times, while Sassuolo have claimed four victories and the remaining four encounters have ended in draws.
Juventus have also scored more goals against Sassuolo than any other team currently competing in Serie A, finding the net 56 times. Their average of 2.3 goals per game against the Neroverdi is the highest average the Bianconeri have recorded against any current Serie A opponent.

The Turin giants have scored at least twice in 17 of their 24 previous league meetings with Sassuolo, doing so in 71% of those matches.
Sassuolo are also a particularly favourable opponent for Nico González, who has scored four Serie A goals against them — more than against any other team in the Italian top flight.
Bremer Reaches a Major Milestone
Sunday could be another landmark occasion for Bremer, with the Brazilian defender set to make his 200th Serie A appearance and his 102nd league appearance for Juventus.
Bremer has also been remarkably effective from set pieces. Since scoring his first Serie A goal in the 2019/20 season, 21 of his 23 goals have come from set-piece situations — 16 from corners and five from indirect free-kicks. That is more than any other defender in Serie A during the same period.
Sassuolo’s heaviest Serie A defeats also include a painful memory against Juventus. On 4 February 2018, the Neroverdi suffered a 7-0 defeat at the Allianz Stadium, one of their three biggest losses in the competition.
There are also several individual storylines to watch. Sassuolo forward Armand Laurienté has attempted 16 shots without scoring this season, the most of any player yet to find the net. Meanwhile, teammate Kieron Bowie leads all goalless players for Expected Goals (xG), with a figure of 1.55.
