Zhegrova – Al Ittihad, Fabrizio Romano confirms

Juventus have reportedly not ruled out the possibility of selling Edon Zhegrova, with the Kosovo international currently not considered one of the central figures in Luciano Spalletti’s technical project.

A significant signal regarding his current situation came with Spalletti’s decision to leave Zhegrova out of Juventus’ UEFA Europa League squad.

The exclusion has inevitably raised fresh questions about the future of the Bianconeri winger, who arrived in Turin with high expectations but has so far struggled to establish himself as an important member of the group.

In recent weeks, several transfer rumours had emerged, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in exploring a potential move for the Kosovo international.

However, with transfer windows in most countries now approaching their deadlines, Juventus may have to deal with the situation for at least the next few months.

Juventus Could Be Forced to Keep Zhegrova Until January

With most major transfer markets closing, Zhegrova could now be set to remain in Turin until the January transfer window, regardless of the intentions of either Juventus or the player.

The Bianconeri management, with Giovanni Carnevali and Ricky Massara continuing to work on the club’s transfer strategies, will therefore have time to carefully assess how to handle the situation.

Juventus could either look to gradually reintegrate Zhegrova into Spalletti’s squad rotation or begin preparing for a possible departure during the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, the option that appeared to be one of the most concrete has now collapsed. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano clarified via his WhatsApp channel that Al Ittihad have decided not to move forward with a deal for Zhegrova.

According to Romano, the Saudi club had placed the Juventus winger third on their shortlist and ultimately chose not to complete the operation before the Saudi transfer window closed.

The development further complicates Juventus’ plans. Zhegrova currently appears to be outside Spalletti’s main project, yet there is no immediate route out of Turin.

Unless another unexpected opportunity emerges, the Kosovo international could now be facing several months at Juventus, with his future likely to become a major topic once the January transfer window approaches.
