Franck Kessié remains an option for Juventus as the club continues to assess potential midfield additions ahead of the new season, although the Ivorian international is not currently considered a top priority.
According to reports from Calciomercato, Juventus executives have yet to make a concrete approach to the 29-year-old midfielder’s representatives, despite his contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli set to expire in the coming days.
Kessié recently reminded European clubs of his qualities with an impressive display for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup, scoring against Germany in a hard-fought encounter that remained level until the closing stages.

The former AC Milan midfielder continues to be monitored by Juventus’ new chief executive, Giovanni Carnevali, who would have to evaluate the financial implications of any potential deal. Kessié is reportedly seeking a two-year contract worth at least €6 million per season.
Romano explain more for Kessie future
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also provided an update on the player’s situation, highlighting that Kessié remains fully committed and physically sharp despite his move to Saudi Arabia.
“Beyond the goal against Germany, it was his overall performance that showed Kessié is still at the peak of his powers,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“There was a perception that after moving to Saudi Arabia he was no longer the same player, but he remains a highly valuable midfielder. He consistently performed at a high level with Al-Ahli and won several trophies.”
Romano added that Kessié is now eager to test himself again in Europe and is prepared to accept significantly different financial terms compared to his Saudi contract.
“For a long time, the issue was that no club in Italy or Europe could match his salary in Saudi Arabia. But now Kessié is willing to listen to different proposals. He is not looking for a low salary, but he understands that any offer will be on different terms.”
The journalist also revealed that Kessié had already offered himself to Juventus earlier this year, during Damien Comolli’s tenure, with discussions over a potential free transfer dating back to January.

While no negotiations are currently underway, the midfielder would welcome a return to Serie A, and Juventus could revisit the opportunity later in the transfer window should conditions become more favourable.
