Juventus ready to hijack Milan’s Top Target

Juventus continue to strengthen their defensive department ahead of the new season, and while Jhon Lucumí remains the club’s top target, another highly-rated name is gaining momentum: Alessandro Circati.

According to TuttoJuve, the Bianconeri have added the Parma defender to their shortlist as they explore multiple options to reinforce Luciano Spalletti’s backline.

However, Juventus are not alone in the race, with AC Milan also closely monitoring the talented 21-year-old centre-back.

Circati Attracting Italy’s Biggest Clubs

Born in 2004, Circati is widely regarded as one of the brightest defensive prospects in Italian football.

His impressive performances for Parma have caught the attention of several top clubs thanks to his composure, leadership, excellent ball-playing ability, and significant room for development.

Juventus see Circati as a long-term investment capable of making an immediate impact while becoming a cornerstone of the club’s future. Milan are also believed to admire the Australian international, setting up what could become a competitive transfer battle.

Parma, however, are in no rush to sell one of their most valuable assets. The Serie A side reportedly value Circati at around €35 million, a figure that currently represents the biggest obstacle for interested clubs.

Confident that his market value could rise even further, Parma are unwilling to lower their asking price.

Lucumí Remains Juventus’ Priority

Despite Circati’s growing appeal, Jhon Lucumí is still Juventus’ preferred defensive target.

The Colombian centre-back is understood to have already given his approval to a move to Turin, but the Bianconeri have yet to reach an agreement with Bologna over the transfer fee.

Should negotiations for Lucumí become increasingly complicated, Circati could quickly emerge as Juventus’ leading alternative.

With Spalletti eager to add another top-quality defender before the transfer window closes, the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining which direction the club ultimately takes.
