Frattesi on SWAP for Nico! The Incredible Scenario

Forza Juventus

Inter and Juventus could be preparing a surprising market operation that would see two important midfield and attacking profiles change shirts.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have identified Nico Gonzalez as one of their possible targets to strengthen the squad, while an exchange deal involving Davide Frattesi has emerged as a potential solution between the two Italian giants.

The idea, currently being explored through the work of intermediaries, would involve a direct swap between the Argentine winger and the Italian midfielder.

A move that could prove beneficial for both clubs, allowing them to address specific tactical needs without significant financial investment.

Nico Gonzalez to Inter, Frattesi to Juventus: A Deal That Makes Tactical Sense

From a sporting perspective, the proposed exchange could represent an interesting opportunity for both sides. Inter are looking for a new winger, particularly on the right side, where Cristian Chivu has been experimenting with different solutions.

Nico Gonzalez, returning to Juventus after his loan spell at Atletico Madrid, is not expected to remain in Turin and is looking for a new challenge.

The Argentine international’s versatility could be a major advantage for Inter, as he is capable of playing on both flanks and would provide Chivu with more attacking options throughout the season.

At Juventus, meanwhile, Luciano Spalletti remains a strong admirer of Davide Frattesi. The midfielder has struggled to find consistent playing time at Inter, but the new Juventus coach could give him a completely different role in Turin.

Spalletti already appreciated Frattesi during his time as Italy manager and could consider using him in a more advanced position, almost as an attacking midfielder.

Such a role could allow the 26-year-old to rediscover his ability to arrive in the box and contribute with goals, as he often did during his best moments at Sassuolo.

The Financial Aspect: A €25 Million Valuation Could Unlock the Deal

Beyond the tactical considerations, the main issue remains the economic aspect. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, neither Inter nor Juventus currently want to invest fresh money in the operation, which is still only being evaluated.

The two players have a similar market history, as both were signed for around €33 million plus bonuses. However, Nico Gonzalez has one year less of amortisation compared to Frattesi, making the accounting situation slightly different for the two clubs.

Even regarding salaries, there is not a significant gap. Gonzalez earns around €3.6 million net per season, benefiting from the remaining advantages linked to Italy’s tax regulations, while Frattesi’s salary is around €3 million net annually.

The possible point of agreement could be reached through a valuation of around €25 million for both players, creating the conditions for a balanced swap deal. It would be a complicated operation, but according to the Gazzetta, it is not considered impossible.

A Nico Gonzalez–Frattesi exchange would certainly be one of the most surprising moves of the summer transfer window, with two Serie A rivals potentially solving each other’s problems through a strategic market agreement.
