Juventus’ is closing on New Goalkeeper

Juventus have dramatically changed their transfer strategy, converting two deals that were initially expected to be completed under different formulas into permanent signings.

Both Kerim Alajbegovic and Randal Kolo Muani has joined Luciano Spalletti’s squad on permanent transfers for significant fees.

The decision will inevitably affect the rest of Juventus’ summer business. With the club carefully managing its finances and UEFA’s financial regulations looming, the Bianconeri are expected to be far more cautious with any further arrivals.

As a result, the search for a new goalkeeper is now increasingly focused on loan deals or free transfers rather than expensive permanent signings.

Alajbegovic and Kolo Muani Set for Official Announcement

Alajbegovic and Kolo Muani arrived already in Turin for medicals and then signatures with Bianconeri.

Juventus have agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for the Bosnian talent worth €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses, while also granting the German club a 10% sell-on clause.

Meanwhile, Kolo Muani’s move has been transformed from a loan with a conditional obligation to buy into a permanent transfer worth €38 million plus up to €12 million in bonuses. Combined, the two signings represent an immediate investment of around €68 million.

Goalkeeper Budget Reduced as Vicario Emerges as Favourite

These major investments, coupled with the fact that Michele Di Gregorio has not been sold, have significantly reduced Juventus’ budget for the new goalkeeper requested by Spalletti.

Following the collapse of the move for Alisson, the dream of signing Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez also appears to be fading, with Aston Villa refusing to lower their asking price.

Zion Suzuki remains another target, but Paris Saint-Germain are also interested, while Parma have shown no intention of selling the Japanese goalkeeper at a discount.

For that reason, Calciomercato reports that Guglielmo Vicario has now emerged as the most realistic option.

The Tottenham goalkeeper is keen to leave the Premier League club, and Spurs have reportedly opened the door to a loan deal with an option to buy, making him the most viable solution for Juventus at this stage of the transfer window.
