Juventus REJECT Free-Agent Move

Juventus have reportedly rejected the opportunity to sign Yves Bissouma on a free transfer, despite the club facing a serious midfield injury crisis. The revelation comes from transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano.

Juventus Reject Bissouma Proposal

According to Romano, Bissouma’s representatives offered the Mali international to Juventus following the serious injuries suffered by Khephren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli. The 1996-born midfielder, formerly of Tottenham, is currently playing for Ajax.

Despite the circumstances, the Bianconeri reportedly decided against pursuing the opportunity. However, the decision was not necessarily linked to a lack of appreciation for Bissouma’s qualities.

Instead, Juventus are believed to have preferred not to overcrowd a midfield department that still includes Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners, Augusto Owusu and Sarr.

The latter has reportedly made a particularly positive impression, earning attention after his first start against NEC Nijmegen in the Europa League.

Juventus Maintain Clear Transfer Strategy

Bissouma’s situation is said to have followed a similar path to that of Marcelo Brozovic, who was also linked with a possible move to Turin.

Juventus’ decision highlights the club’s apparent consistency in its approach to the free-agent market. Rather than making a signing simply to cover injuries, the club appears focused on maintaining balance within the squad and giving opportunities to its existing midfield options.

With Thuram and Locatelli facing extended absences, Juventus will continue to assess their internal resources before considering further reinforcements.
