Juventus and Genoa has closed in on a significant transfer agreement that could reshape the squads of both clubs.
According to JuventusNews24, the Bianconeri have decided to make a major sacrifice in order to secure the signing of highly rated youngster Jeff Ekhator.

As part of the deal, David Puczka will join Genoa on a permanent transfer. The winger has reportedly been valued at around €5 million, with Juventus not retaining a buy-back clause. Instead, the Turin club would only receive a percentage of any future resale.
The decision is a notable one considering Puczka’s outstanding development over the past season.
The versatile wide player enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, scoring 10 goals—while also proving reliable from the penalty spot—and providing five assists, impressive numbers for a player operating primarily as a wing-back.
Spalletti Wanted to Assess Puczka During Pre-Season
Puczka’s performances had reportedly convinced Juventus to seriously consider promoting him to the first team.
New head coach Luciano Spalletti was eager to include the youngster in the club’s upcoming pre-season training camp to evaluate whether he was ready to make the step up to senior football.
However, the opportunity to bring Ekhator to Turin has prompted Juventus to change their plans, with the club now willing to part ways with one of its most promising academy products.
Juventus May Need Another Left-Sided Signing
Puczka’s departure could also create a tactical issue for Juventus. With Juan Cabal expected to leave, the Bianconeri would be left without a natural backup to Andrea Cambiaso on the left flank.
The situation is made even more uncertain by the fact that Cambiaso himself continues to attract strong interest on the transfer market.
As a result, Juventus sporting director Giovanni Carnevali is expected to strengthen the left side of the squad if the deal goes through.
