Franco Mastantuono could become one of the most intriguing names on the European transfer market this summer, with reports suggesting the highly rated Argentine youngster may leave Real Madrid on loan just one year after his high-profile arrival from River Plate.

According to TuttoJuve, Juventus are among the clubs closely monitoring the situation as they look to strengthen their squad with one of South America’s brightest young talents.

Although the Bianconeri are not currently negotiating a permanent transfer, they are keeping a close eye on any opportunity that could arise should Real Madrid decide to send the player out on a temporary deal.

The Spanish giants invested around €45 million to secure Mastantuono’s signature from River Plate, believing he had the potential to become a future star at the Santiago Bernabéu.

However, the 18-year-old’s debut campaign in Spain has not unfolded as expected. Despite making 35 appearances, he managed just three goals and one assist, while struggling to establish himself as a regular starter under José Mourinho.

Juventus See Long-Term Potential

Real Madrid reportedly remain convinced of Mastantuono’s long-term quality and have no intention of selling him permanently.

Instead, a loan spell is viewed as the ideal solution to provide him with consistent first-team football and accelerate his development before returning to Madrid.

That scenario fits perfectly with Juventus’ current transfer strategy. The Turin club has increasingly focused on signing and developing promising young players capable of becoming key figures in the future.

Mastantuono’s creativity, technical quality and versatility make him an attractive option, while regular minutes in Serie A could help unlock his enormous potential.

Strong Competition Across Europe

Juventus, however, are far from the only club interested in securing the Argentine’s services. Inter, Villarreal, Sporting and Rennes are all said to be following the situation closely.

Rennes, who have qualified for next season’s Europa League, believe they can offer Mastantuono significant playing time and a leading role in their project.

With several clubs waiting for Real Madrid’s final decision, the race for one of football’s most exciting young prospects is expected to intensify in the coming weeks, making his future one of the stories to watch this summer.
