Two concrete names to replace Di Gregorio

Forza Juventus

With Alisson Becker recently renewing his contract with Liverpool, Juventus are reportedly shifting their focus toward a more domestic solution for the future of their goalkeeping department.

According to Calciomercato, the Turin giants are carefully evaluating Italian options as they plan ahead for next season.

Recent reports suggest that current goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio has not fully convinced the club’s hierarchy. There are also doubts about the level of confidence placed in him by national team coach Luciano Spalletti.

As a result, Juventus could explore alternatives ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window in an attempt to strengthen a key position in the squad.

Vicario and Carnesecchi Among Leading Candidates

Two prominent Italian goalkeepers have emerged as potential targets. The first is Guglielmo Vicario, the 1996-born shot-stopper currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur.

Vicario has built a strong reputation over the past few seasons thanks to his reflexes, distribution, and composure under pressure.

However, his situation in North London could open the door to a possible move, making him an intriguing option for Juventus.

Another name under serious consideration is Marco Carnesecchi, the talented 2000-born goalkeeper of Atalanta.

Carnesecchi has impressed with his consistency and maturity despite his young age, becoming one of the most promising Italian goalkeepers in recent years. His performances in Serie A have also put him firmly on the radar of Italy’s national team setup.

Potential Summer Move

Both Vicario and Carnesecchi are part of the new generation of Italian goalkeepers and could represent long-term solutions for Juventus.

Bringing in either player would align with the club’s strategy of investing in Italian talent while maintaining competitiveness at the highest level.

That said, completing either deal will likely prove challenging. Atalanta are known for negotiating firmly when it comes to their top players, while Tottenham may not be willing to part with Vicario easily.

Additionally, other European clubs could enter the race if either goalkeeper becomes available.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Juventus’ search for stability between the posts could become one of the club’s most closely watched transfer stories. For now, the Bianconeri appear determined to keep their focus on Italy’s rising goalkeeping talents.
