Juventus are closely monitoring Brooke Norton-Cuffy, the English right wing-back born in 2004 and currently playing for Genoa, as a potential January reinforcement.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the young defender has become a key target for the club’s new sporting director, Marco Ottolini, who is keen to strengthen the right side of Luciano Spalletti’s squad.

Norton-Cuffy is a player Ottolini knows very well, having already worked with him during his time at Genoa. This familiarity plays a crucial role in Juventus’ interest, as the director strongly appreciates both the player’s technical qualities and his tactical growth in Serie A.

Fast, aggressive, and comfortable pushing forward, the Englishman is seen as a modern full-back capable of fitting seamlessly into Spalletti’s system, especially in a role that demands intensity and width.

Despite his young age, Norton-Cuffy has shown maturity and consistency, attracting attention for his physical strength, attacking runs, and ability to cover the entire flank.

Juventus believe he could represent not only an immediate solution, but also a long-term investment for the future of the squad.

Joao Mario Exit Key to Any January Move

However, any concrete move for Norton-Cuffy is closely tied to Juventus’ outgoing business. As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri must first find a solution for Joao Mario.

The Portuguese full-back, born in 2000, is considered surplus to requirements and is expected to leave Turin, but the situation remains complicated.

So far, Juventus have not received offers deemed financially satisfactory for Joao Mario’s transfer. Without his departure, the club’s room to maneuver in the January market would be significantly limited.

Time is therefore a critical factor, with deadlines approaching fast and negotiations needing to be accelerated. If Juventus manage to offload Joao Mario in the coming weeks, Norton-Cuffy could quickly become a concrete target rather than just an idea.

For now, the operation remains on standby, but the interest is real and driven by a clear technical vision from the club’s sporting management, with Gazzetta dello Sport confirming Juventus’ growing attention towards the Genoa defender.
