Liverpool Could HIJACK Juventus Deal

Juventus could face serious competition from the Premier League in their pursuit of Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde, with two English giants reportedly monitoring the situation ahead of the January transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have now joined Manchester United in the race for the Spanish defender. The Reds have reportedly added Balde to their list of potential targets as they assess their options at left-back, creating another obstacle for Juventus.

Balde’s current situation at Barcelona could make a January move possible. The 2003-born defender has struggled for regular playing time under Hansi Flick, and his position in the pecking order has reportedly become less secure.

Besides João Cancelo, the Spaniard has also seen young Espart move ahead of him in the competition for minutes on the left flank.

Juventus Still Looking for a Left-Back

Liverpool and Manchester United are therefore keeping a close eye on developments, with both clubs prepared to consider a move when the transfer window reopens if Balde decides that leaving Barcelona is the right option.

Juventus, meanwhile, remain interested in the 22-year-old. The Bianconeri are searching for a new option on the left side and could look to strengthen the position for Luciano Spalletti during the January market.

Balde’s availability would nevertheless come at a significant cost. Barcelona are reportedly valuing the defender at around €40 million, while his current contract with the Spanish champions runs until June 2028.

For Juventus, the growing interest from England could make negotiations more complicated. With Liverpool and Manchester United now monitoring the same player, the Bianconeri may need to move quickly if they want to turn their interest in Balde into a concrete January operation.
