Dybala has REJECTED Juventus offer

Roma playmaker Paulo Dybala turned down approaches from former club Juventus and fellow Serie A giants Napoli during the summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, with his decision heavily influenced by his strong relationship with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

The Argentine forward endured an injury-hit 2025/26 campaign, but Gasperini was determined to keep him at the Stadio Olimpico. The Roma head coach made it clear to the club’s hierarchy that Dybala remained a key part of his plans and was integral to his project.

Dybala Prioritised Roma Despite Juventus and Napoli Interest

As Roma and Dybala struggled to reach an agreement over a new contract, both Juventus and Napoli reportedly explored the possibility of signing the 32-year-old on a free transfer.

However, Dybala made it clear that his priority was to remain at Roma after giving Gasperini his word. The Argentine eventually agreed to a one-year contract extension, accepting a significant reduction in his fixed salary in exchange for lucrative performance-related bonuses.

So far, Dybala appears to be repaying the faith shown in him by Gasperini. He has provided four assists in five Serie A appearances this season, while Roma currently sit at the top of the league table.
