The 2026/27 season is now underway, and the first conclusions can already be drawn from what promises to be a thrilling campaign.

Across Europe, football fans will once again have plenty of high-profile matches and exciting storylines to follow throughout the season.

Away from the action on the pitch, however, the transfer market is never far from the spotlight. One player who could soon become the subject of a major transfer battle is Borussia Dortmund’s Daniel Svensson.

Arsenal Ready to Enter the Race for Daniel Svensson

According to Fussballdaten, Arsenal are considering making a move for the 24-year-old Swedish international.

The London club are reportedly keeping a close eye on Svensson as they continue to assess potential opportunities to strengthen their squad.

Svensson is currently under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2029, meaning any potential transfer would require a significant effort from the clubs interested in securing his signature.

His versatility is considered one of his biggest strengths, as he is capable of operating on both flanks.

Arsenal, who will be determined to bounce back after the disappointment of last season’s Champions League final, could therefore look to make Svensson one of their future targets.

Juventus and AC Milan Also Interested

The competition for the Swedish defender could be fierce. Fussballdaten reports that Manchester United are also monitoring the Borussia Dortmund player, while two Italian giants have emerged as potential contenders.

Juventus and AC Milan are both said to have Svensson on their transfer radar, potentially setting up a four-way battle involving some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

With his market value reportedly expected to reach around €50 million, Svensson would represent a major investment. Still, his ability to play on either side of the defence could make him an attractive option for Juventus, Milan, Arsenal and Manchester United.

For Juventus, the potential interest is particularly noteworthy as the Bianconeri continue to monitor opportunities capable of adding quality and tactical flexibility to their squad.

Whether the Turin giants decide to turn their interest into a concrete move remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Daniel Svensson’s future could become one of the transfer stories to watch in the coming months.
