Juventus are wasting no time in the transfer market following the arrival of Jeff Ekhator.
Under the leadership of new CEO Giovanni Carnevali, the Bianconeri are pushing ahead with their squad rebuild, with former academy defender Tarik Muharemovic now emerging as one of the club’s top priorities.

According to Nico Schira and La Stampa, Juventus have significantly altered their plans regarding Muharemovic in recent days.
While the initial idea was to assess the possibility of selling the Bosnian centre-back, the club has now made bringing him back to Turin a priority.
Juventus and Sassuolo have reportedly reached the framework of an agreement worth around €16 million, with additional performance-related bonuses potentially included in the deal.
The transfer is expected to be finalized once Muharemovic returns from his international commitments. The 2003-born defender is highly regarded by Giovanni Carnevali, who knows the player well from his time at Sassuolo.
That familiarity has played a key role in Juventus’ decision to move decisively for the talented defender, who originally developed in the club’s youth system.
Kelly Exit Could Open the Door
Muharemovic’s arrival could pave the way for Lloyd Kelly’s departure. The English defender, valued between €20 million and €22 million, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
A sale would generate a valuable capital gain, helping Juventus finance Muharemovic’s transfer while maintaining financial balance.
Several other defenders also face uncertain futures in Turin. Federico Gatti, Daniele Rugani and Andrea Cambiaso could all leave this summer, while Gleison Bremer may also be considered for sale if an irresistible offer arrives.

Meanwhile, Jhon Lucumí remains on Juventus’ shortlist as another possible defensive reinforcement. The potential return of Muharemovic reflects Juventus’ long-term strategy of rejuvenating the squad with young players who possess significant room for development.
After investing in Jeff Ekhator, the club continues to focus on building for the future. Away from the defensive department, Juventus are also actively evaluating their goalkeeping options.
Guglielmo Vicario and Mile Svilar remain under consideration, while the club has officially completed the sale of Giovanni Daffara to Parma for around €6 million, retaining a 20% sell-on clause in the agreement.
