Juventus have added Andriy Lunin to their list of possible solutions for the goalkeeper position, according to TuttoJuve.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper is emerging as one of the alternatives being considered by the Bianconeri should they fail to reach an agreement for Zion Suzuki, who remains the club’s primary target.

Juventus have reportedly expressed their interest to Real Madrid in a potential loan deal. However, the operation remains complicated, both because of the Spanish club’s stance and the player’s own preference.

Lunin Emerges as a Potential Alternative to Suzuki

If the Suzuki deal does not progress quickly, Juventus could accelerate their efforts to sign Lunin. The Ukrainian international is regarded as a reliable goalkeeper with considerable international experience and an understanding of the pressure that comes with playing for a major European club.

A loan move would allow Juventus to strengthen their goalkeeping department without immediately committing to a significant transfer fee. However, it has not yet emerged how much the Bianconeri would be prepared to pay Real Madrid to complete the operation.

Real Madrid are under no pressure to sell Lunin. The goalkeeper renewed his contract in September 2024, with his current agreement running until June 30, 2030.

The length of the contract gives Los Blancos a strong negotiating position and allows them to reject any proposal they do not consider attractive.

Lunin’s Preference Could Complicate Juventus Move

Another obstacle is Lunin himself. Despite the competition for the starting position at Real Madrid and his limited chances of becoming the undisputed No. 1, the Ukrainian goalkeeper would reportedly prefer to remain in Madrid.

Juventus, however, could offer him something Real Madrid cannot currently guarantee: regular playing time and a central role in Luciano Spalletti’s project.

To convince Lunin to make the move to Turin, Juventus would therefore need to provide clear guarantees regarding his position in the hierarchy and his chances of playing consistently.

For now, Suzuki remains Juventus’ first choice, but Lunin is increasingly becoming a serious alternative should negotiations fail to produce a breakthrough.
