Juventus ACCELERATE to sign Italian goalkeeper

Juventus are keeping a close eye on the goalkeeper market, not only to address their immediate needs but also with an eye on the future.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri have identified Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani as one of the young talents worth monitoring, with the club even considering a move as early as the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old has attracted growing attention with a series of impressive performances. Frosinone have moved quickly to protect their prized goalkeeper, recently extending his contract until 2031.

However, Juventus remain interested and are closely following his development, helped by the strong relationship between the two clubs.

Palmisani’s latest performance against Como further increased the spotlight on him. During Frosinone’s 2-0 victory at the Stadio Stirpe, the goalkeeper made seven saves, including five crucial interventions, and was named Man of the Match.

His excellent display came shortly after he received a call-up to the Italy Under-21 squad, providing further evidence of his rapid development. Frosinone clearly see him as an important part of their project, but Juventus are continuing to assess whether they can make an early move.

Juventus Could Repeat the Gatti Strategy on Palmisani

According to Tuttosport, Juventus could consider completing a deal for Palmisani in January and then leaving him on loan at Frosinone until the end of the season.

Such a strategy would allow the Bianconeri to secure the player’s future while giving him the opportunity to continue playing regularly and developing before eventually moving to Turin.

The approach would be similar to the one previously used with Federico Gatti. Juventus secured the defender’s transfer while allowing him to continue gaining experience at Frosinone before joining the Bianconeri.

Palmisani has reportedly been on Juventus’ radar for some time, meaning his impressive performance against Como is not the reason for their interest but rather another confirmation of the qualities they have already identified.

Born in Alatri on June 12, 2004, Palmisani stands at 196cm and is a right-footed, modern goalkeeper. His outstanding reflexes, particularly from close range, are among his strongest attributes. He is also comfortable coming off his line and possesses good qualities with the ball at his feet.

Interestingly, Palmisani initially played as a midfielder before making the permanent switch to goalkeeping, helping him develop strong technical ability and confidence in possession.

He also possesses notable personality and mental strength for his age. His goalkeeping idol is none other than Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon.

Palmisani’s future remains open, but Juventus are watching closely. Having already made his Serie A debut, the young goalkeeper could potentially find himself wearing black and white again in the future — this time not as an opponent.
