Juventus’ dream of signing Alisson Becker is suddenly at risk of collapsing.
Despite reaching a full agreement with the Brazilian goalkeeper’s entourage on a three-year contract worth €4.5 million per season until June 2029, Liverpool are still refusing to open the door to a transfer.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Reds have no intention of letting their number one leave this summer. The decision is not only linked to financial reasons, but also to the importance of Alisson inside the dressing room.
With key leaders such as Robertson and Salah expected to depart, while Konaté could also leave Anfield, Arne Slot is determined to keep one of the team’s last remaining veterans.
The Dutch manager reportedly sees Alisson as a crucial figure both on and off the pitch. Even at 33 years old and after several injury setbacks in recent seasons, the former Roma goalkeeper is still considered Liverpool’s most reliable option between the posts.
Juventus Still Hopeful Despite Liverpool Resistance
Juventus, however, have not abandoned the operation. The Bianconeri remain encouraged by the player’s willingness to join the club, even without Champions League football next season.
Luciano Spalletti is pushing hard for the Brazilian shot-stopper, having previously coached him at Roma and reportedly placing him at the very top of his wishlist.
Still, negotiating with Liverpool has proven extremely difficult. As La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights, the Premier League side are known for standing firm during negotiations, and unless the current situation changes, their “no” could soon become definitive.
Interestingly, another solution could emerge directly from Liverpool. Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, recently linked with the Reds after his impressive spell at Valencia, may not accept spending an entire season on the bench.

Juventus are reportedly exploring a loan move for the 26-year-old until June 2027, allowing him to play regularly in Turin before eventually returning to Anfield. Such a scenario could pave the way for Alisson to join Juventus at a later stage.
De Gea and Other Alternatives on Juventus’ Radar
While Alisson remains the club’s priority, Juventus are already evaluating alternative options in case the deal completely falls apart.
The most concrete alternative at the moment is David De Gea. The experienced Spanish goalkeeper is currently under contract with Fiorentina until 2028 and is highly appreciated by the Juventus management.
Other names have also been proposed in recent days, including Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez …
… and Bayern Munich-owned goalkeeper Alexander Nubel who has spent the last three seasons on loan at Stuttgart.
Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario also remains on Juventus’ shortlist, although Inter are closely monitoring the Italian international as well.
For now, Juventus continue to dream about Alisson — but convincing Liverpool may prove to be the hardest challenge of all.
