Juventus change Nico Gonzalez’ future

Juventus are carefully considering how to deal with the absence of Kenan Yildiz after the club’s young No. 10 suffered a foot injury that requires surgery.

With the procedure expected to keep him out for around three months, the Bianconeri must now find the right solutions to cover one of the most important attacking positions in the squad.

The situation could have a significant impact on the club’s plans for Nico Gonzalez, whose future in Turin had appeared increasingly uncertain in recent weeks.

Alajbegovic and Boga Could Get More Opportunities

Yildiz’s absence is expected to create additional opportunities for younger players such as Kerim Alajbegovic, while Jeremie Boga could also be handed a more prominent role.

However, Juventus may now be reconsidering whether allowing Nico Gonzalez to leave would be the right decision.

According to SportMediaset, the Argentine’s versatility and experience are qualities that Luciano Spalletti considers particularly valuable.

Gonzalez can operate on either wing and can also be used behind the striker when necessary, giving the coach an additional tactical option during a long and demanding season.

The Argentine had reportedly given his approval to a return to Atletico Madrid, where he had previously spent time on loan.

However, the Spanish club has so far failed to meet Juventus’ €30 million valuation for his permanent transfer. Yildiz’s injury could therefore change the entire situation.

Spalletti Could Push for Gonzalez to Stay

Rather than losing another experienced attacking option while Yildiz is unavailable, Juventus could decide to keep Gonzalez until at least the January transfer window.

His ability to cover multiple positions would be especially useful during a period in which the squad will have to cope with a significant absence.

For Spalletti, Gonzalez offers more than simply depth. His movement, versatility and ability to make an impact in different areas of the pitch could make him an important part of the rotation.

As a result, what seemed like a likely departure for Gonzalez could now turn into an unexpected stay in Turin. Juventus’ final decision will depend on both the club’s assessment of Yildiz’s recovery and the offers that arrive before the transfer window closes.
