Lazio moves for Zhegrova

Forza Juventus

Lazio’s attacking reshuffle may not be over yet, despite the club officially completing the signing of Andrea Pinamonti.

The Biancocelesti could still make another move before the transfer window closes, although any further arrival is expected to depend on departures from the current squad.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio are continuing to assess several options as they look to strengthen their attacking department while respecting the club’s financial limitations.

With the need to maintain a balanced transfer strategy and operate under a zero-net-spend approach, outgoing deals could be crucial before another signing can be completed.

Two players currently facing uncertain futures are Ratkov and Matteo Cancellieri, with Lazio potentially needing to finalise the departure of at least one attacker before accelerating their plans.

Zhegrova Emerges as a Concrete Option

Among the names being considered is Juventus winger Edon Zhegrova, who has emerged as an intriguing opportunity for Lazio.

The 27-year-old Kosovo international is being evaluated as a possible option for the right side of the attack, where he could compete with Gustav Isaksen.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Lazio could attempt to negotiate a loan deal without an obligation to buy, a formula that Juventus would reportedly be open to considering.

Zhegrova’s salary, believed to be around €2.5 million per season, is also said to fit within Lazio’s financial parameters.

A naturally left-footed player, Zhegrova could offer Lazio flexibility across the attacking line. While primarily capable of operating on the right wing, he could also provide an alternative option for Mattia Zaccagni on the opposite flank.

His experience in Italian football could further work in his favour. Zhegrova has already featured 20 times since last season and recently made an appearance in Juventus’ opening league match against Frosinone, coming on during the second half to replace Francisco Conceição.

Lazio Waiting for an Exit

Zhegrova could ultimately become Lazio’s final attacking signing of the window, particularly as competition for RB Leipzig’s Conrad Harder continues to increase.

However, before making a concrete move for the Juventus winger, Lazio are reportedly waiting to complete a sale in their attacking department. Once an exit is finalised, the Biancocelesti could be ready to open talks and explore the possibility of bringing Zhegrova to Rome.

With the final stages of the transfer window approaching, the situation surrounding the Kosovo international could therefore become one to watch closely.
