Juventus are reportedly closing in on the signing of Franck Kessié, with the Ivorian midfielder emerging as a concrete option to strengthen Luciano Spalletti’s midfield.
According to Quotidiano Sportivo, the Bianconeri have effectively reached an agreement over a free transfer for the former AC Milan and Barcelona player.
Kessié, born in 1996, could return to European football after leaving Saudi Arabia and becoming a free agent.

The proposed deal would reportedly see him sign a three-year contract worth €4.5 million per season, with significant bonuses linked to both team achievements and his individual performances.
Kessié Deal Depends on Koopmeiners
Despite the agreement, Juventus still have one important issue to resolve before making the move official: the number of midfielders currently on the club’s books.
The Bianconeri are believed to be looking to reduce the size of their midfield department, particularly because some players are no longer considered central to Spalletti’s plans. The arrival of Kessié, therefore, could depend directly on an outgoing transfer.
The leading candidate to make room for the Ivorian is Teun Koopmeiners. The Dutch international has reportedly become one of the players whose future could be decided in the coming days. Juventus would even consider a loan move in order to facilitate his departure.
Should Koopmeiners leave Turin, Juventus would then be in a position to complete the agreement with Kessié, who is keen to relaunch his career in Europe.
Kessié’s potential arrival would represent an intriguing addition for Spalletti. His physical strength, experience at the highest level and familiarity with Serie A could give Juventus another powerful option in midfield.
For now, however, the situation remains closely linked to the future of Koopmeiners. As reported by Quotidiano Sportivo, the exit of the Dutchman could be the final piece needed to bring Kessié to Turin. The next few days could therefore prove decisive for both operations.
