Samuele Ricci’s future at AC Milan has unexpectedly become uncertain just one year after his arrival, with both Juventus and Atalanta emerging as potential destinations.

According to Goal Italia, the Italian midfielder has been offered to both Serie A clubs as his entourage explores opportunities ahead of the new season.

Despite being under contract with Milan until June 2029, Ricci is no longer considered untouchable, and a significant offer could pave the way for his departure.

Juventus Remain Interested in Ricci

Ricci’s debut campaign at Milan can be viewed as a positive one overall. The 2001-born midfielder made 31 appearances, scoring once and providing four assists, while earning regular playing time despite competition from experienced stars Adrien Rabiot and Luka Modrić.

However, the arrival of new head coach Rúben Amorim has changed the landscape. The Portuguese manager reportedly prefers a different profile for his two-man midfield, believing Ricci’s characteristics do not perfectly suit his tactical approach.

With Milan currently having seven midfielders competing for just two starting spots, the club is open to reducing numbers before the season begins.

According to Goal Italia, Ricci’s representatives have already made contact with both Juventus and Atalanta, presenting the possibility of signing the Italian international.

Juventus’ interest is nothing new. Sporting director Giovanni Carnevali and Ricky Massara are working to build a squad with a stronger Italian core, and Ricci has been admired by the Bianconeri for several months.

During the last winter transfer window, there were even discussions surrounding a potential swap deal involving Federico Gatti.

Milan Set €20 Million Asking Price

Atalanta are also closely monitoring the situation, with Maurizio Sarri believed to be a strong admirer of Ricci.

The experienced coach had previously requested the midfielder on multiple occasions during his time at Lazio, making the Bergamo club another realistic option if Ricci leaves San Siro.

For now, the 23-year-old remains focused on pre-season and is determined to convince Amorim that he deserves a place in Milan’s plans.

Nevertheless, the club is willing to listen to offers, although they have no intention of letting him leave cheaply. Goal Italia reports that Milan would only begin negotiations if an offer of at least €20 million arrives.

Just 12 months after joining the Rossoneri in a deal worth around €23 million, Ricci could already be heading for a new challenge, with Juventus and Atalanta both keeping a close eye on developments.
