Bremer’s recent injury has pushed Juventus to reconsider their options ahead of the January transfer window. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club is preparing to move for a new central defender as their backline becomes increasingly thin.
The Turin side cannot afford to take risks in the second half of the season, especially with several key fixtures ahead.

The Italian newspaper reports that two familiar names from Serie A are currently at the top of Juventus’ shortlist. Both players know Italian football well and could offer immediate stability to Tudor’s defense.
The main targets: Skriniar and Kim
The first option leads to Turkey, where Milan Skriniar has become a key figure for Fenerbahce. The Slovak international, born in 1995, previously played for Inter Milan and Sampdoria.
He joined Fenerbahce permanently last summer for six million euros after a short loan from Paris Saint-Germain. His contract runs until June 2029. So far, Skriniar has made 37 appearances for the Turkish side, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

He has also collected seven yellow cards, four of which came in the last five league matches, earning him a suspension for the next fixture against Karagumruk. Despite his disciplinary issues, his leadership and Serie A experience make him an appealing candidate for Juventus.
The second name on Juventus’ radar is Kim Min-jae, the South Korean international who once starred for Napoli and Fenerbahce. Kim currently plays for Bayern Munich, where he is under contract until June 2028.

The German giants signed him for 50 million euros in the summer of 2023, shortly after his Scudetto triumph with Napoli under Luciano Spalletti. Kim has recorded 85 appearances with Bayern, scoring four goals and assisting three.

However, this season he has often been left on the bench, with coach Vincent Kompany preferring Upamecano and new signing Tah. Because Kim is a non-EU player, his arrival could limit Juventus’ flexibility in future transfers.
The club still has one foreign slot available after acquiring Canadian forward Jonathan David. But if Kim joins, the move could rule out signing Atletico Madrid’s Argentine right-back Nahuel Molina.
In that case, Juventus may shift focus to other options such as French full-back Jonathan Clauss (Nice), Dutch defender Jordan Teze (Monaco), or English youngster Brooke Norton-Cuffy (Genoa).
