According to Tuttomercatoweb, Giovanni Carnevali has also entered the race for the highly-rated Spanish youngster, who is attracting growing attention thanks to his performances in Spain.
Born on April 25, 2005, Navarro is regarded as one of Villarreal’s promising defensive talents. He featured at last year’s Under-20 World Cup and has already made 11 appearances across all competitions this season.
His progress has not gone unnoticed, with Juventus among the clubs keeping a close eye on his situation. Within Italy, Roma are also reportedly interested in the young defender, potentially setting up competition for his signature.
Villarreal Manager Compares Navarro to Carles Puyol
Navarro’s qualities have also received significant praise from Villarreal manager Inigo Perez, who believes the youngster has the potential to become an outstanding defender.
Speaking about his development, Perez highlighted his versatility, attitude and technical qualities, even comparing certain aspects of his game to Barcelona legend Carles Puyol.

“Pau Navarro is an obedient player who listens and learns. In many ways, he reminds me of Carles Puyol because of his versatility. He started as a full-back, then played as a centre-back, and never complained.
“He is quick, strong and knows how to build the play from the back. He is a very young player who came through the academy. He is introverted, but watching him play is a pleasure.
“He simply needs to believe that he is a great player because he is a great defender.”
Juventus are continuing to assess their options ahead of the January transfer window, and Navarro could become an interesting investment for the future as Spalletti looks to strengthen his defensive options.
