Juventus are already planning important moves for the upcoming summer transfer market, with the club determined to strengthen its defensive department ahead of next season.

According to reports from Sportmediaset, one of the leading names on the club’s shortlist is Kim Min-jae, currently playing for Bayern Munich.

The South Korean defender remains highly appreciated by coach Luciano Spalletti, who previously worked with Kim Min-jae during their successful spell together in Italy.

Their partnership helped deliver outstanding defensive performances, and the possibility of reuniting has reportedly become a concrete idea inside Juventus management discussions.

Kim Min-jae Open to Serie A Return

Despite arriving in Germany with high expectations, Kim has not fully established himself as an untouchable starter at Bayern.

For that reason, a return to Serie A could become an attractive option for the defender, especially with the opportunity to work again under Spalletti.

Reports suggest the player would even consider lowering his current salary, which is believed to be close to €10 million per season, in order to facilitate the move.

Juventus are expected to approach Bayern once the season and European competitions conclude. The Italian giants are reportedly preparing a proposal based on a paid loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy.

Much will depend on Bayern’s final decision and on how strongly Spalletti pushes for the transfer in the coming months.

The Turin club sees experience and leadership as key qualities needed to rebuild a stronger defensive structure, and Kim Min-jae profile perfectly fits that vision.
