Juventus Plot SHOCK Icardi Move

Mauro Icardi could be heading back to Serie A, with Juventus emerging as a potential destination for the experienced Argentine striker.

The 33-year-old forward, currently a free agent, is reportedly keen to return to Italian football, a league he knows extremely well. Despite potentially receiving offers from Spain and England, Icardi would reportedly prioritise a move back to Serie A.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus could represent an interesting opportunity for the former Inter captain, particularly after Inter ruled out the possibility of bringing him back to Milan.

Juventus Consider Icardi as a Free-Agent Opportunity

The Bianconeri are searching for a genuine centre-forward, someone capable of providing a consistent goal threat inside the penalty area. Icardi’s profile could therefore fit their requirements perfectly.

Having previously established himself as one of Serie A’s most prolific strikers, the Argentine would also have the advantage of requiring very little adaptation to Italian football.

Spalletti Reunion Could Be Key

Another important factor could be Luciano Spalletti. The two previously worked together at Inter, where the Italian manager played an important role in getting the best out of Icardi.

A potential reunion in Turin could prove beneficial for both parties, especially if Spalletti believes the striker can still deliver at the highest level.

Furthermore, signing Icardi on a free transfer could represent an attractive opportunity for Juventus executives Carnevali and Massara. Rather than investing a significant transfer fee, the club could secure an experienced goalscorer with a proven record in front of goal.

For now, the possibility remains an intriguing one, but Icardi’s desire to return to Serie A and Juventus’ need for a natural number nine could create the conditions for a surprising transfer.
