Juventus are intensifying their pursuit of Jadon Sancho from Manchester United ahead of the new season. Talks have accelerated in recent days as the Italian giants aim to finalise a deal according to Corriere dello Sport.

However, the main stumbling block remains Sancho’s high wages, reportedly exceeding €10 million net per year.

Sancho has been on Juventus’ radar for over a year. Last summer, Manchester United chose to loan him to Chelsea, who agreed to cover a significant part of his wages. This time, Juventus want a permanent transfer.

United are open to a sale and have already agreed to terms with the Serie A club. They are considering two options: a direct purchase worth €25 million plus bonuses, or a swap deal involving Douglas Luiz.

However, Juventus have not yet reached a financial agreement with Sancho himself. The English winger is keen on the move and has even shown willingness to accept a lower salary.

Juventus are offering around €6–7 million net, while Sancho is asking for €8 million. This difference, though small, is significant for Juventus, who are under pressure to reduce their wage bill.

Jadon Sancho ready for change, but Juventus must balance the books

To make room for Sancho financially, Juventus are exploring the sale of Dusan Vlahovic, who currently earns €12 million a year. Offloading him could free up crucial resources.

The club also recently signed Jonathan David, offering him wages in the same range as they propose to Sancho. Juventus are carefully managing their budget, prioritising financial sustainability.

While Sancho’s desire to join is a positive sign, final agreement hinges on narrowing the wage gap. If no resolution is found soon, Juventus may need to either increase their offer or shift strategy entirely.

Talks are ongoing, and the next few weeks will be crucial. Juventus are hopeful, but both sides must compromise to close the deal.
