5 coaches on list to replace Spalletti

Luciano Spalletti’s future at Juventus is becoming increasingly uncertain following another damaging setback.

The defeat against Genoa at Marassi has intensified the pressure on the Bianconeri, who have already fallen 11 points behind Serie A leaders Inter and Lazio after just nine rounds.

At this rate, even securing Champions League qualification is beginning to look like a distant prospect. With results failing to meet expectations, Spalletti’s position could be hanging by a thread.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, attention is already turning towards potential replacements, with the latest betting odds offering an indication of who could take charge if Juventus decide to make a change.

Five coaches in Juventus list

Among the candidates reportedly under consideration, Stefano Pioli has emerged as the favourite, with odds of 2.75 for a possible return to the Juventus dugout.

The Italian coach knows the Bianconeri environment well from his playing days and has experience managing dressing rooms under pressure, including during his successful spell at AC Milan.

Pioli is currently ahead of Antonio Conte, whose potential return to Turin is priced at 5.00. Although the former Juventus and Napoli manager lives in Turin, his previous disagreements with the club’s ownership could complicate any attempt to bring him back.

Other names remain in contention should Juventus decide to part ways with Spalletti. Vincenzo Montella, recently dismissed from his position with Turkey, is listed at 7.50.

While former Juventus player Fabio Grosso follows at 8.00 after beginning the season in charge of Fiorentina, according to the reported odds.

Didier Deschamps Also Remains an Outside Option

Another intriguing possibility is Didier Deschamps. The former Juventus captain is currently without a coaching position after ending his spell as France national team manager. A sensational return to Turin would reportedly pay up to 12 times the original stake.

For now, Juventus have yet to make an official announcement regarding Spalletti’s future. However, the growing gap at the top of the table and the mounting pressure surrounding the team have made the situation increasingly delicate.

Whether the club chooses to give Spalletti more time or turn to a new manager remains to be seen. With the season already threatening to slip away, the coming weeks could prove decisive for both the coach and Juventus.
