Napoli are preparing an official offer for Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti. The 21-year-old has been on their radar for months now. Juventus have placed a €15 million price tag on the young Italian, and Napoli believe this is within reach.

Miretti is considered one of the most promising midfielders to emerge from Juventus’ youth academy. He broke into the first team during the injury crisis of March 2022 under Max Allegri.

Despite his early promise, Juventus have shown a pattern of selling their top young talents. Players like Nicolo Fagioli, Matias Soule, Dean Huijsen, and Radu Dragusin have all been sold in recent seasons.

The talented midfielder spent last season on loan at Genoa, where he showed signs of maturity. His performances improved dramatically after Patrick Vieira replaced Alberto Gilardino mid-season.

However, Juventus coach Igor Tudor does not appear to have faith in him for the future. Miretti was hoping for a return to Turin after proving himself in Serie A.

Yet, with Juventus expecting to lose Douglas Luiz and still unwilling to trust Miretti, his future now looks destined elsewhere.

Talks with the player’s agent, Giovanni Branchini, have already begun according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato – RAI. Napoli are serious about strengthening their midfield ahead of the new season.

The reigning Serie A champions believe Miretti’s potential can be fully unlocked at their club. Juventus, meanwhile, see this as an ideal chance to cash in on another homegrown player.

A formal offer from Napoli is expected in the coming weeks. Both clubs appear optimistic a deal can be reached soon. Miretti himself seems keen on the move to Naples, where more playing time and trust await.
