According to TuttoJuve, a surprising name has emerged in Juventus’ plans for the winter transfer market. Former PSG midfielder Marco Verratti could soon return to Italian football after more than a decade abroad.

The club is exploring several midfield options, and the idea of bringing Verratti back to Italy has sparked genuine interest within the management.

Juventus still remembers his early rise with Pescara before his move to Paris in 2012. Despite becoming a key figure at Paris Saint-Germain, Verratti never played in Serie A. The possibility of finally seeing him compete in the Italian top flight excites many Juventus supporters.

Luciano Spalletti wants more choices in the central areas of the pitch. The profile of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has already been studied, but Verratti’s name carries a different charm.

His experience, passing quality, and tactical awareness could offer Juventus a unique boost during the second half of the season.

A Complicated Return Despite Mutual Interest

The potential move remains far from simple. Verratti currently plays for Al-Duhail after spending two seasons with Al-Arabi in Qatar. His salary is extremely high, and this represents a major obstacle for Juventus during an ongoing season.

Any deal would require either a significant financial effort or a clear wish from the player to reduce his demands. At 33, Verratti recently stated that he feels comfortable in Qatar and appreciates his current environment.

These comments naturally make negotiations more difficult. Juventus cannot commit to a deal that would compromise future financial planning, especially under strict budget controls.

However, the idea continues to circulate because of what Verratti could bring to the squad. His technique, rhythm control, and leadership remain valuable qualities.

Many at Juventus believe he could still influence games at a high level, even if the transition back to European football would require strong motivation from the player.

The upcoming weeks will reveal whether this fascinating possibility can become real. Juventus will continue to evaluate options, but Verratti’s name has already captured attention. For now, the dream survives mainly on ambition and nostalgia, as reported by TuttoJuve.
