Juventus have chosen their New Goalkeeper

Juventus are stepping up their pursuit of Zion Suzuki as the situation surrounding the Japanese goalkeeper takes a decisive turn.

With Parma and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly reaching an agreement worth around €35 million, the operation has now entered the stage directly involving the Bianconeri: finding a solution that would bring the 23-year-old to Turin on loan.

The agreement between Parma and PSG has effectively cleared the way for the second phase of the deal. The French champions could soon complete their signing of Suzuki, with the final announcement potentially depending on the last details regarding his immediate future.

With competition for places in Paris, a loan move would allow the goalkeeper to continue playing regularly next season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, signals from France have become increasingly positive in recent hours. PSG reportedly view Juventus as an ideal destination for Suzuki to continue developing at a high level, while negotiations between the clubs have intensified.

Juventus sporting director Giovanni Carnevali and Ricky Massara have a clear objective: to deliver a new goalkeeper to Luciano Spalletti as quickly as possible.

The Bianconeri are aiming to finalize the operation between today and tomorrow, with talks currently involving Turin, Paris and the player’s representatives.

A meeting is expected to help clarify the final details of Suzuki’s personal agreement. Juventus’ interest in the goalkeeper is not new, as the club had previously considered signing him directly from Parma.

However, the investment required by the Emilia-based club was considered too high at this stage of the transfer window.

PSG Move Changes the Entire Scenario

The arrival of PSG in the negotiations has completely changed the picture. Juventus and the French champions have already held discussions over several market operations, and this situation could provide a solution that works for both clubs.

PSG would secure a goalkeeper they consider an important investment for the future, while allowing Suzuki another season as a regular starter. Juventus, meanwhile, could solve their goalkeeping problem without committing to the significant fee required for a permanent transfer.

Spalletti is reportedly positive about Suzuki’s profile. The Japan international already knows Serie A well after spending the last two seasons at Parma, making the transition to Turin considerably easier.

The situation at PSG also works in Juventus’ favour. In order to immediately integrate Suzuki into their squad, the French club would first need to reorganize their current goalkeeping department. That process could take time, making a one-year loan particularly attractive.

A season at Juventus would give Suzuki the opportunity to play consistently at a high level while continuing to increase his value before eventually moving to Paris.

For PSG, the operation could also have significant commercial potential given Suzuki’s profile and the importance of the Asian market.

The acceleration on Suzuki has inevitably affected Juventus’ other goalkeeper targets. Guglielmo Vicario remains an alternative, but his candidacy has lost some momentum in recent hours.

Juventus had explored a potential loan deal with an option to buy for around €15 million, but that route would likely become relevant only if complications arise in the Suzuki negotiations.

For now, however, the Bianconeri are putting all their efforts into securing the Japanese goalkeeper.

At the same time, Juventus must also resolve the future of Michele Di Gregorio. Marseille continue to monitor the former Monza goalkeeper, although the French club would reportedly prefer a temporary solution.

The situation could therefore develop rapidly once Juventus finalize the arrival of their new number one. If everything proceeds as planned, Zion Suzuki could soon become the latest major piece of Spalletti’s new Juventus project.
