According to Fichajes, Juventus have set their sights on Chelsea’s promising Brazilian midfielder, Andrey Santos, ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window. The 21-year-old has caught the Italian club’s attention after a series of impressive performances during his loan spell at Strasbourg.

Chelsea reportedly value the young talent at around €35 million, a figure that Juventus views as reasonable for a player of his potential. Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January 2023, and his journey since then has included multiple loan moves.

He first returned to Brazil, then spent time at Nottingham Forest, and finally made his mark in France with Strasbourg. During his stay in Ligue 1, Santos showcased his versatility.

He displayed strong defensive positioning, effective passing, and the ability to transition quickly between attack and defense. These qualities have made him one of the most talked-about emerging midfielders in Europe.

Chelsea’s dilemma: Keep or Cash in?

For Chelsea, the situation presents a tough decision. The Blues see Santos as a potential long-term asset, capable of strengthening their midfield depth alongside Moisés Caicedo and Enzo Fernández. However, they also recognize that a significant offer could be difficult to ignore.

Santos has been gradually integrated into the first team under the current coaching staff but has yet to secure a regular starting spot. This uncertainty has fueled speculation about his future, especially with Juventus actively exploring options to reinforce their midfield.

The Italian side faces internal challenges, with some key players underperforming or potentially leaving in the near future. Juventus sees Santos as a box-to-box midfielder capable of covering large areas of the pitch while contributing both defensively and offensively.

His youth and energy make him a strategic signing for a club planning a gradual rebuild. From a financial standpoint, the €35 million asking price represents both an opportunity and a risk.

Juventus would need to convince not only Chelsea but also the player himself, who aims to earn regular minutes and secure a place in Brazil’s national team.

Negotiations are expected to unfold in the coming weeks. Juventus could attempt a January move, delay talks until summer, or even propose a player exchange.

Regardless of how the discussions develop, one thing is clear — as Fichajes notes, Andrey Santos is set to be one of the standout names of this winter’s transfer market.
