Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a move for Juventus forward Jonathan David after receiving the green light to pursue a summer deal, according to TEAMtalk.

The Magpies are actively searching for attacking reinforcements ahead of the upcoming transfer window, and David has now emerged as one of the club’s most concrete options.

The Canadian striker only joined Juventus last summer on a free transfer from Lille OSC, but his first season in Turin has not gone as expected.

Despite showing flashes of quality, the 26-year-old managed just eight goals and five assists in 45 appearances across all competitions, struggling to secure a leading role in the squad.

Juventus Ready to Let David Leave

According to the report, Juventus are now open to letting David leave this summer, with intermediaries already initiating contact with Newcastle United over a potential Premier League switch.

The Bianconeri are reportedly prioritising the return of Randal Kolo Muani, while Dusan Vlahovic is also expected to extend his contract, which would further reduce David’s importance at the Allianz Stadium.

Premier League Move Appeals to David

TEAMtalk also claims Newcastle have been offered the opportunity to sign David on loan as they continue assessing multiple attacking targets ahead of next season.

The striker is believed to be open to the move, with a transfer to the Premier League understood to be a long-term ambition for the Canadian international.

The report further suggests Newcastle’s attack could undergo major changes this summer amid strong interest from Bayern Munich in Anthony Gordon.
