How matches will miss Yildiz

Juventus’ night in Parma delivered plenty of positive signals for Luciano Spalletti and the Bianconeri, but it also came with one worrying note: the condition of Kenan Yildiz.

The Juventus No.10 was forced off at half-time after picking up a physical issue late in the first half, making way for Fabio Miretti. According to Tuttosport, the first updates on his condition, recovery timeline, and potential absences have now emerged.

Yildiz Injury: What Happened in Parma

Around the 40th minute at the Tardini, with Juventus already in the lead, Yildiz was seen in an intense exchange with Spalletti on the touchline.

The coach asked about his condition, but the response was not reassuring. The Turkish forward asked to be substituted at the end of the first half, signalling a clear problem.

As reported by Tuttosport, Yildiz is dealing with an overload to the adductor muscle of his left thigh. While the injury is not considered serious, it comes at a particularly delicate stage of the season, with crucial fixtures approaching.

For this reason, Juventus are expected to manage his recovery cautiously, avoiding any risks or unnecessary acceleration to prevent relapses. The player has already begun his treatment programme at Continassa and will be monitored on a day-by-day basis.

Spalletti’s Words and the Matches at Risk

Spalletti addressed Yildiz’s situation after the match, explaining the decision-making process during the game. Speaking to DAZN, he said that Yildiz felt pain but believed he could reach half-time.

However, the discomfort increased as the muscle cooled down, and walking became painful. Despite that, the medical staff reassured him that the issue was not serious, though a return for Thursday appears unlikely.

The Juventus coach reiterated similar concepts to Sky Sport and later in his press conference, stressing that Yildiz was feeling pain in the adductor area but that the injury should not be severe.

He also admitted that the player could miss “a couple of matches” due to the tight schedule. As things stand, Yildiz is expected to miss the Coppa Italia clash against Atalanta on Thursday night at the Gewiss Stadium.

His availability for the following Serie A match against Lazio on Sunday, February 8 at the Allianz Stadium, remains doubtful and will depend on his physical sensations over the coming days.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are confident that the Turkish talent will not be at risk for the Derby d’Italia against Inter on February 14 at San Siro, which remains a clear target for his return.
